Kings Ransom Sedona Hotels presents
Spring Break in Sedona and Vacation Packages to Enjoy!

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Tlaquepaque!
Prepare to be dazzled by the upcoming Cinco de Mayo Fiesta, Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7. For almost 40 years the Arts and Crafts Village of Tlaquepaque — meaning the “the best of everything” — has been the epicenter of Sedona’s art, entertainment and cultural celebrations.
Tlaquepaque’s fiestas, events, and parties are great family fun, and this year is no exception. Savor fabulous Mexican dishes, enjoy the beats of world-class musicians, take in high-energy folklórico dancers and participate in "The Great Sedona Chili Cook Off." Admission is free.
Cinco de Mayo, or the Fifth of May, is celebrated in Mexico and Mexican-American communities in the United States to commemorate the Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla in 1862.
Both of our Sedona Hotels are within walking distance to Tlaquepaque! Take a lovely stroll on our brand new sidewalks to the festivities all weekend. See the schedule of events here and get more information. We hope to see you on the May 5-7 weekend!
Spring Break in Sedona!
Spring Break is well-deserved, and a perfect time to get away and recharge on a vacation to Sedona, one of nature’s wonderlands! We have a variety of vacation packages you may find attractive which combine discounts on both the accommodations and the vacation activity, all rolled into one. This is the traditional time when we want to have some fun at the end of winter and renew ourselves with beauty and fun. When was the last time you were truly awed by anything? Every spring, the beige washes of the desert are flooded with technicolor blooms, especially after the winter rains, like a magic wand was brushed across the red rocks. Sedona is known as one of those special places, inspirational and spectacular. Experiencing the natural metamorphosis from winter to spring is reason enough to take a trip here, but with so many things to do, it is a difficult choice to decide on just one thing.
Sedona Vacation Packages
If you have reserved one of our packages, with the possibility of a jeep ride through the gorgeous historic areas or a balloon ride, perhaps your day will start with being picked up in our lobby to begin your adventure. There are spa packages for those who just want to relax and be pampered. This is also an excellent time to visit the Grand Canyon. We have arranged for packages which include a chauffeured drive each way, along with accommodations at our hotel. This is an easy way to let someone else do the driving, so you can take in the views of breathtaking forests and historical territory. Why drive when you can enjoy looking instead?
When you visit our website, just click on the tab that says “Special Packages” and/or “Other Activities” and choose some Spring Break activities such as:
Grand Canyon Tours

Of course, you can always just kick back and relax in our oversized spa or take a swim in the grand heated pool.
New Highway Roundabouts, New Sidewalks, New Bike Lanes
This year you will be amazed to find Hwy 179 has been completed and redrawn to enter Sedona on a one way road through the National forest, and to return on a different route, enhancing a beautiful drive with no oncoming traffic. In addition, all the roundabouts are completed so once you begin your drive on Hwy 179, there are no stoplights or stop signs to interrupt your enjoyment of the scenery. The roundabouts offer nonstop cruising into town via this incredible scenic route. The Kings Ransom Sedona Hotel is right at the entrance to the main commercial gallery district. Along with the new roads and new sidewalks, low light street lamps have been added. So once you pull into the hotel, you can walk to any of the shops and restaurants in this popular area during the day or in the evening, including the charming Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. What an improvement! In addition, bike lanes are now a reality, and there is a bike rental store with all sorts of bikes, some you pedal and some with engines, just a few steps from our hotel. Biking is a great way to see the area if you don’t want to just stroll...
Hiking at Marg’s Draw Trailhead
Come to Sedona and stay at the Kings Ransom Sedona Hotel so you can step out the door and hike into the glorious Coconino Forest (no need to drive to a trailhead). Within a short walk from the Kings Ransom (literally our back yard), you will be treated to a brilliant display of desert landscape. The weather is cool, so hiking is perfect after your complimentary breakfast. We know you will love that hike, as it offers two options and a perfect view of “Snoopy Rock”. Kids love it!
Four Star Restaurant
While you are here, be sure to treat yourself to a delicious gourmet Mexican-inspired dinner prepared by Elote Café’s chef, Jeff Smedstad. We recommend you come early to be assured a table and begin with a fine Margarita made with one of the chef’s hand picked tequilas. Dining at Elote Café’, with its delicious fare and views of Sedona’s red rock monuments, is another memory you won’t soon forget, like the visit to magical Sedona!
