Verde Canyon Railroad presents Rhythm on the Rails

Throw Mama or Papa ON the Train for their Special DayOn Saturday, April 14 Verde Canyon Railroad is introducing the first annual Rhythm on the Rails. Eight distinctive musical acts representing a variety of melodic styles will each play a private concert in every coach car before rotating through the train on this five-hour journey through one of Arizona’s most scenic inner canyons.

Experience this majestic train trip in comfortable seats, with tempting appetizers and an extensive wine selection … all to the tuneful tempos of talented musicians.  While music explodes in every car, outside your window spring will be erupting in the Canyon as blossoms and wildflowers carpet the landscape in a riotous display, making all of your senses sing.

The train will be rocking and rolling for this one day only event featuring country, jazz, and rhythm and blues. Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Tlaquepaque!

Immerse yourself in a colorful Fiesta saluting a rich heritage on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at Tlaquepaque. Enjoy the festivities while cheering and whistling to the music of mariachi musicians, clapping to the steps of folklórico dancers and savoring traditional Mexican foods at Tlaquepaque’s famed El Rincon Restaurante.

Entertainment Schedule:

Andres Martinez (Latin Rhythm) will be performing in Patio Del Norte from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Ballet Folklorico will be performing at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:30 pm in Plaza De La Fuente

Eric Miller will be performing from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

We will also have Mariachi Rodriguez roaming the Calle Independencia and the streets of Tlaquepaque from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
